Dezful, city in
southwestern Iran, located near the Iraqi border on
the west bank of the Dez River, in Khuzestan province.
The city gets its name, which means “citadel bridge,”
from a bridge built across the Dez by (according to
legend) Shapur II. Dezful is called "dezfil"
and "desfil" on it's people language.
